A Sigh of Relief

Ah! Things must have been much better in terms of human compassion if the blockade was lifted before Ningol Chakkouba which many implored. But unfortunately it did not work.
Now for Christmas days bandhs blockades must not be there.
Ah! A sigh of relief at long last!
Economic blockade of four months long, lifted! How much of a relief?
Better not plague our minds on it for now. Let us have some cool recreation for a month at least; yes for the X-mas and New Year season at least.
Ah! Things must have been much better in terms of human compassion if the blockade was lifted before Ningol Chakkouba which many implored. But unfortunately it did not work.
Now for Christmas days bandhs blockades must not be there. Such negative quirks or poltroon elements in the human traits should not prevail among the great souls of today; well and good.
In the face of the intermittent bandhs pre-pro-post-visit of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Party President Sonia Gandhi the general public had a lifted mood; albeit nobody put up a representation or proposal or review of the power distribution in Manipur, the most vital and important essential element in the modern living, which has failed terribly in our state.
Anyway let it go, let time wait for time. After all the two power heads mentioned, '... there was nothing like "supra state body" in the knowledge of the government' and they reassured also, 'no breach of the present boundaries of Manipur.'
Because these two were the bugs that tormented many a heart which perhaps were looming in the horizon for a horrible cyclonic tempest or raging incineration of human growth in this tiny state.
Why can't we have all the days to come in this mood, a calm demeanour of all, if not jubilant?
The worries or the suspicion or should we call it skepticism, it is always there in the minds of the Manipuris, valley, hills, foothills, wherever.
Perhaps the idiom, 'Cheen-ga Khoot-ka Mannadaba' (literal meaning in English can be 'Mouth and hands not in the same wavelength') has remained an unmovable heavy and stony nidus in the minds of people. Hypocrisy is perhaps the literal word in English.
This monstrous trait is in the most gigantic stature among politicians, religious heads, militants, state actors, bureaucrats, electorate and what not; in fact among all individuals of the modern world, perhaps in the highest degree in Manipur. Talking of electorate it is time for the electorate to see to it that they are not hypocrites.
Near election people always seem to hesitate and think about the experience and deportment of the candidate as a politician. We better remember that many a politician who looks having plenty of experience has been tested and they have proved to be zero.
Let us not say, 'this candidate does not look like a politician.'
Let us find out who will work sincerely without 'Cheen-ga Khoot-ka Mannadaba' rather vote for those whose cheen and khoot will go in the same wavelength and perform accordingly.
