He has spent long hours in the research and development in the field of seamless garment making. Being a mechanical engineer himself, he is also adaptive to the world of machinery. He is coming out with an upgraded machine which was invented while he was in his final year of NIFT 2002, The machine can weave garments seamlessly thus crossing one or more warp of threads at various levels. This will avoid any stitching, inter-locking or joining of pieces of cloths. This means, it does away with manual and machine intervention in the name of stitches and inter-locking which is ready-to-use on completion of the weave process. Thus, the machine combines the Textile and the Garment industry under one roof or setup. This new generation machine hold promise to herald a new era in garment and textile industries across the globe. Devson has nicknamed this machine "BEM". The name BEM comes from the name of his sister Victoria as a token of dedication and love for her. Devson built the initial machine using a wooden structure and has applied for a patent with the World Intellectual Property Organization. The abstract at the WIPO (WIPO is a specialized agency of the United Nations, dedicated to developing a balanced and accessible international intellectual property (IP) system, which rewards creativity, stimulates innovation and contributes to economic development while safeguarding the public interest.)states that:
"A seamless woven customized garment devoid of any stitching, inter-locking or joining the cut pieces by any means using any type of yarn, for men, women and children’s wear, including designs, patterns and decorations/accessories is the subject matter of the present invention. Judiciously engaging, disengaging and crossing of one or more warp threads at varied levels weave the seamless garments. The invention also claims a weaving machine adaptable for engaging, disengaging and crossing of warps as per pre-designed patterns. " "Seamless garments are in vogue and the demand for such garments particularly under garments are increasing. " "Presently these seamless garments available in the market are knitted one. Woven garments are not available. So the machine BEM and its products will be the first of its kind in the world. Seamless garment made of tubular material are well known. " "Additionally one-piece garments particularly seamless under wears are also known and available in the market. Circular knit woolen garments are also known. However, these garments are mostly produced using circular knitting employing lightweight thin yarns. Further, only one yarn is engaged in single rotary knit. " The advantages of the seamless garment machine are:-
