A Little Walk
Veetu Thokchom *
A walk for the countrymen
Under storm that didn't hold back
Under rain that didn't soak
I was under exhaustion I didn't know
Out of love and care for my countrymen.
A walk of bliss
Opened eyes to races and color never heard of.
All for one and one for all; it taught me.
In the paradise of brave souls,
To sacrifice for the lovely countrymen.
A walk of friend-in-need
That didn't know the ultimate.
The words of love we shared,
The love of hearts we cherished.
But for the liberty of our countrymen.
A walk of nostalgia
In the momentary lapse I live
Oh! Journey was full of meaning then
And still strong I am that you gave
All but life is for my countrymen.
