A Doctor's Dilemma
Pangabam Nandakumar *
When I was in troubles
Tears fell down non-stop.
I wondered, am I suffering from Glaucoma?
I went to an Ophthalmologist
He checked my tear duct
He conducted by vision test
All reports found correct
The doctor got into a dilemma.
When my health is running down
I felt very weak, breathless and pallor.
I went to a doctor of medicine
He checked my blood, sugar level
All reports found correct
The doctor got into a dilemma.
When I am depressed, fear of persecution
I went to a psychiatrist
He examined whether I am suffering from
Schizophrenia, bipolar disorder.
He monitored by pulse rates
Behaviour, palpitation.
He gave me shock treatment.
All reports found correct
The doctor got into a dilemma.
One day, a philosopher
Passed by me
He looked at me attentively,
And, then said to me –
"You are in emotional prison
You are a prisoner,
The prisoner of conscience."
