AICC Helpline Numbers Launched

All India Christian Council is re-launching Helpline Numbers for people to contact for help in regard to religious freedom, freedom of conscience and fundamental right of all marginalized people. One national helpline number is assigned and three numbers each for North East India region, South India region and North East India region. All India Christian Council is also setting up a Helpline dealing the issues of Crime against women.

There are two main ways we are the voice for the voiceless:

o Our legislative work with the government helps raise awareness of the oppression, discrimination, and violence that Dalits face. In raising awareness, we are then able to put a spotlight on the Dalit plight so that government officials are aided in their abilities to help with focus and attention right where it counts.

o We stand up for constitutional rights and against persecution through the legal court system. When a church is burned down or a pastor is beaten, we are there to stand up for them and fight for their rights in that pastor’s local court. Working with police, government officials and within their judicial system.

The All India Christian Council is a nationwide alliance of Indian Churches, organisations and individuals. Over 2000 Christian denominations, organisations and major Christian alliances are members of the Christian Council. The Christian Council works for religious freedom, freedom of conscience and the fundamental rights of all marginalised groups regardless of caste and faith. It works for communal peace, development and for upholding the integrity and unity of India and its Constitution. The All India Christian Council is a major national and global voice in the causes and issues it espouses.
