AFSPA is dangerous as atom bomb: Koijam
Nagaland Post | Imphal, Oct 10
The AFSPA 1958 is now dangerous as an atom bomb, said former Manipur chief minister Radhabinod Koijam, while adding that enforcing the Act is discriminating the people of the area.
Addressing as chief guest at the opening function of the “North East Consultation on Human Rights, soliciting people’s opinion on Armed Forces (Special) Powers Act 1958,” organized by North East Students’ Organization (NESO) in association with All Manipur Students’ Union (AMSU), the former chief minister said “AFSPA is a very powerful act which is highly dangerous like an atom bomb and can cause various inhuman activities.”
