7th General Assembly of World Forum of Fisher People

National Fishworkers Forum (NFF) is hosting 7th General Assembly of World Forum of Fisher People is scheduled from 15th Nov to 21st Nov 2017 at New Delhi. More than 200 delegates from 45 countries are participating in this assembly.
To host this General Assembly, NFF requires cooperation from Delhi Solidarity Group (DSG) and other fraternal organisations. In this context, we propose DSG meeting to discuss with NFF members in Delhi and workout the way to take forward it and share responsibilities. Meeting is proposed on Tuesday, 7th March 2017 at 3:30 pm at F-10/12, Malviya Nagar, New Delhi.
As you are already aware of aggressive industrialisation of coastal area is attacking livelihood of fish workers, ecology, fish species. Sagar Mala, Coastal Industrial Corridor, and FDI in Fishing are the few examples well known in the public domain. Aggressive fishing by foreign trawlers in deep see is causing permanent damage in sea belt.
Due to its multidimensional impact, the movements for environment protection. Livelihood, sea protection, water pollution, democratic right, land protection and Science and Technology are requested to cooperate.
