An official reports said that a mini-truck (MN 02A-3180) was set on fire by suspected bandh supporters Saturday night around 10 p.m. at Hundung Junction. The mini truck which was carrying mineral water was badly burnt, police said.
Tamenglong district witnessed a relaxation to the bandh during the day and markets in the district headquarters which remained close since the commencement of bandh on November 3 midnight were opened for the day, informed a resident of the district headquarter when contacted.
During the bandh relaxation hours, a large number of people thronged the shops to buy their daily needs, he said, adding that the relaxation might have been given to able people to go to Church for Sunday worshipping as today being Sunday. However, he did not know the exact reason behind the bandh relaxation.
