2nd year of PDA Government marks with lots of controversy : NPF
Kohima, 11th March, 2020
The Naga People’s Front snapped the much hype achievement announcement made by the PDA Government during their 2nd Anniversary of Government at Dimapur on 9th March 2020.
The 2nd year of PDA Government marks with lots of controversy than the 1st year and holds no achievement as the Naga public is the best witness that no new project or achievement was brought about to the people even after the completion of their two year tenure in the office but simply carrying out the old works, which was initiated by the last NPF led DAN Government and that too in a haphazard manner with no quality works.
“We have seen, how the PDA Government under the Chief Minister, Neiphiu Rio and Deputy Chief Minister, Y Patton talked about the good governance and transparency”, and their Government promises to provide good roads within 30 days, 60 days, 100 days and so also to repair all the district roads was a total failure even after the lapse of 2 years in office.
The tall promises of the PDA Government falls short as the road project, Dimapur-Golaghat Gate to Patkai Bridge and Kohima Bye Pass Check Gate to Phesama Check Gate is all suppose to be completed within the year 2019 and the workmanship of the quality of road is pathetic and not upto to the standard as well as not to the work specification as prescribe by the Ministry.
The NPF party underscored the PDA Government proclamation on Naga Political issue that proudly claimed the Naga issue was successfully concluded on 31st October 2019. However, till date no outcome was heard of forget about the solution to the protracted Naga Political problem.
The NPF wonder as to why the PDA did not even raise its eyebrow to the Government of India over the denial of some of the Naga Civil Society leader/Human Rights Activist to travel outside India.
It is an irony that when the Government of India is still engage with the Naga National Workers and when the Naga Peace Process is at its peak, what prompted the Intelligence Agency to prevent the leaders/Activist who are propagating for peaceful resolution of the decade old Indo-Naga problem.
Another interesting achievement that marked the PDA Government is random and backdoor appointment in almost all the Government department depriving thousands of deserving Naga youths. The NPF ridicule as to what do the PDA Government mean by transparency when thousands of vacancies in the Government sector has been filled up without proper interview and norms.
This clearly indicates the insincerity of the PDA Government towards the educated unemployed youths by depriving their rights.
The Chief Minister utterances during the 2nd year celebration is indeed unbelievable as when they cannot bring any new scheme and project during the past two years despite of having close proximity with the Central Government by virtue of a coalition partner with the BJP in the state.
What more do the people of Nagaland expect for the remaining years with the present Government when the working relations between the ruling coalition partner in the state is getting soar day by day.
