The 19th edition of the annual techno-management festival of IIT Guwahati - Techniche is back with a bang and a greater zeal and enthusiasm. Enthusiasts are ready to pour in from different areas of the country to witness this grandeur and a celebration of technology starting from start on 31st of August. Techniche encompasses events ranging from various facets like technology, management and fun.

Apart from organizing techno-management events, team Techniche has very much contributed to the social development of the premises surrounding IIT Guwahati by organizing a free health checkup, educating the children present in these areas and also by providing the people with basic life needs and resources. This edition of Techniche would witness the lights of eminent personalities of wide spectrum of fields like Dr. Thomas Barclay (NASA Deputy Director) and Brooks Moore (Host of HOW IT’S MADE, Emmy winner) as a part of Lecture Series and Farhat Jamal (Senior Vice President of Taj Hotels) and many more eminent personalities will be delivering lectures as a part of Industrial Conclave.

Speaking during the press meet, Labanu K. Konwar, Asst. Registrar of Public Relations IIT-G said, “Techniche being a complete student body organization, always tries to uplift the technology aspects in North East India and encourages students through its exciting events and interesting competitions. It provides a platform to many of the students to prove them on a nationwide level”.

Following the long tradition of Techniche, the ninth edition of the Guwahati half marathon will be back with a greater vehemence and enthusiasm on 27th August. The theme of this edition of marathon is “Organ Donation-Live Life, Give Life”, which appeals to be a part of change intended by creating awareness for organ donation. The event starts from the BhogeswariPhukanani Indoor Stadium, GNRC Road, Dispur.

"A confluence of some of the most logical and technically proficient brains from around the world, an event organised by some of the most passionate about Technology IITians, Techniche is all about showing your calibre, appreciating and respecting the metal in your opponent. This Septemeber, the game of the best amongst the best is for the world to see", said Animesh Jain, convener of Techniche'17

The Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati presents to you with great éclat its annual techno-management extravaganza, Techniche. The festival, a marathon of three days has events ranging from keynotes by the masters of the industry to competitions that bring forward the best in you. Techniche gives you learning opportunities and life altering experiences and this year it shall dazzle its audience with its revamped 18th edition.

Get star-struck by a Spectacle of Luminaries - Lecture Series

The module that brings to you a mélange of the world’s finest prodigies. Lecture Series aims at providing a generation of budding professionals an opportunity to interact with men and women who have set milestones and redefined the meaning development. This year the event will be graced by illustrious personalities like like Dr. Thomas Barclay (NASA Deputy Director) and Brooks Moore (Host of HOW IT’S MADE, Emmy winner).

Getting inspired by the Masters of the Industry: Industrial Conclave

Extending over the span of three days, this exclusive event brings forward an opportunity for the students to meet, learn and interact personally with the most dynamic and prolific personalities of the industry, who inspire and motivate the attendees by sharing their own success stories. This year the event is much awaited with keynotes from speakers such as, Farhat Jamal (Senior Vice President of Taj Hotels).

Learn, Develop and Excel - Workshops:

One of largest platform to learn about the latest technologies are the workshops of Techniche. With a peek through of Social Media Marketing to the technicalities of Artificial Intelligence, the workshops give its participants an opportunity to learn and gain hands on experience in the fields of their interest.

Gear up for glory - Robotics:

No technical fest is complete without robots. The robotics module of Techniche attracts participation from engineering enthusiasts all over the country. Since its inception, it has always been one of the most sought after events. This year as Technicheharbors events like Robocalypse and Burn Out, the bars have been raised.

Lead, Learn and Discover - Corporate Module:

Specially crafted for potential entrepreneurs, this module tests your business acumen through contests like Virtual Stock Market and Portfolio Pitching. If an insight into the corporate world is what you are looking for, this is the ideal module for you.

Knowledge goes to Practice –TechOlympics:

TechOlympics is a module that offers a collection of specially designed competitions that provide one an opportunity to test their knowledge on a subject. TechOlympics gives you a chance to learn while you have fun and get practical knowledge on your specialization.

World Peace is a big mission, let’s take one step at a time - Model United Nations:

Started with a vision to promote world peace and to groom leaders for a better tomorrow, Model United Nations has over the years become an integral part of Techniche. So suit up, and be here at Techniche MUN to get a taste of the delegate life, and make connections that last a lifetime.

Funniche:

For all the exuberant witnesses of Techniche, we present to you Funniche, the event that pumps ones Techniche experience with unlimited fun. Find yourself in the midst of exciting games and numerous fun filled activities.

After the Sunset - Nites:

With every sunset that marks the end of another day at Techniche, we start with the next chapter, the Nites. Get ready to experience performances that leave you awestruck. Welcome to the Proshows at Techniche, the place to rejuvenate with a spectrum of technical performances, visual shows, standup comedians, and bands, that are sure to leave you wanting for more.
