1789 is the Womb of Democracy
Jagadish Brajabaacy *
Democratization brings forth democrats
Blooming like spring flowers in the soil of democracy
Catching the fancy of the undemocratic
Yearning for the gold standard lot of the democratic
Democratized out and out with times flying by
Owing mainly to the outbreak of the French revolution.
As such democrats are in sight today
Taking lots of steps democratic
On the democratization job -
To get every inch of the earth democratized
In the teeth of some opposition provincial to the job universal.
Democracies bank on elections -
By elections, general elections etc.
Through which are made representatives
Who each mother and father us.
Political parties play a part
Very vital and important
On the electioneering job -
An eye opener for the public.
Democratization of our homelands is a must
In view of the values of rights
That follow human liberties
Civil, economic and political
Democracies sow seeds of rights
Civil economic and religious
That individuals need in life
To flower up their individuality and personality
The state is a heaven on earth
Should the electorate be learned -
Well-informed and well-qualified
Capable of keeping pace with the world.
If electors are unlearned
Ill - informd and unqualified
Incapable of keeping pace with times
States open the gate of hell.
