Cry Of A Dying River...69
Rajendra Kshetri *
I am no longer the river I was once
The river on its bank flourishes a university
A university of 'Little Paradise on Earth '
Where there is no dearth of 'Intellectuals '
'Administrative intellectuals' 'Chamcha intellectuals ' 'managerial intellectuals '
Intellectuals of Executive nay Corporate Class
Whose art of kissing the backsides of authority
Puts into shame the artistic geniouses of the Da-Vincis and the Picassos
Such is the crafty art of 'Intellectual Artists'
Never critical but kowtowing and toeing the lines.
I am no longer the river I was once
The river that loves extending 'cordial invitations'
To all the 'intellectuals' of 'Republic of Dust'
To celebrate to cheer to honour
Paid members of 'Mutual Appreciation Club'
Members of 'you scratch my back-I scratch yours '
Dole out 'Certificates of tacit Understanding '
Cheers cheers Three cheers to mediocrity
Go all the way- leave no stone unturned
Celebrate the age of mediocracy in the era of mobocracy.
