o B. Tech in Food Science with electives in oilseed and confectionary Technology, College of Agricultural Technology, Marathwada Agricultural University, Parbhani, Maharashtra, India, 1983-1987.
o M.Sc in Food Technology with elective in Fruit and Vegetable Technology, CFTRI, University of Mysore, Mysore, India, 1987-1989. ICAR Jr. fellowship
o Ph. D. in Food Technology: Studies on the application of ultrafiltration and reverse osmosis processes for clarification and concentration of tropical fruit juices and natural colour extracts. CSIR-CFTRI, University of Mysore, Mysore, India, 2004.

3. RECIPIENT OF SCHOLARSHIP/FELLOWSHIP/AWARD

o Scholarship:
Merit scholarship given by the Govt. of Manipur for a period of 4 years (1983 to 1987) during my B. Tech course at Parbhani (Maharashtra).

o Fellowship:
o ICAR Junior Fellowship given by Indian Council of Agricultural Research, New Delhi for a period of two years from Aug 1987 to Jul 1989 during M.Sc. Food Tech. Course.

o Indo-French Fellowship : Awarded this Fellowship for 10 months (Aug. 1995 to May 1996) by the French Embassy, Paris during my advanced training at CIRAD, in Montpellier, France under official deputation (1 year and 4 months) on collaborative EU project on Mango processing & Packaging.

o Awards:
o Paper and Academic Awards:
o N.N.Mohan Memorial Award for the best research paper published in the Indian Food Packer Journal, awarded by the All India Food Preservers' Association, New Delhi. Title of the Paper: Solar Drying of White Onion Flakes, Indian Food Packer, 41(1) 15-28,1988.

o Guru Joga Award for being the top ranking student in the area of Fruit and Veg. Technology of M.Sc.(Food Tech) course at CFTRI,1989 awarded by the All India Food Preservers' Assn., New Delhi.

o N.N.Mohan Memorial Award for the best research paper published in the Indian Food Packer Journal, awarded by the All India Food Preservers' Association, New Delhi. Title of the Paper: Preliminary studies on clarification of fruit juices by ultrafiltration. Indian Fd. Packer,Sept-Oct, 1993 page 9-15.

o Best poster Awards: 5 in National and International conferences

o First prize for “Development of Clarified Mango juice concentrate” M.R. Vijayalakshmi, M.N. Rekha, N.I. Singh, W.E. Eipeson and H. Krishna Murty, presented in IFCON 1998 (23-27 Nov) held at CFTRI, Mysore.

o First prize for “Avenues for processing Custard Apple” Vijayalakshmi MR, Revathy B, Singh N.I. Shashirekha MN and Rajarathnam S, presented in IFCON 2003 (5-8 Dec) held at CFTRI, Mysore.

o Third prize for “Beet root juice stabilization by microfiltration” Ng. Iboyaima Singh and V. Murali Madhav, presented in IFCON 2003 (5-8 Dec) held at CFTRI, Mysore

o Best poster award on Nutritional profile and antioxidant activity of Rhus chinensis Mill. (Heimang) fruit and its products. Memthoi Devi, H. and Ng. Iboyaima Singh, presented in ICFOST 2015 (18-19 December), organised by AFST(I), held at parbhani,

o Other Awards:

o CFTRI Foundation Day Awards-2005. Awarded special award to “Team HRD Department” for outstanding contribution/ achievement from CFTRI on 21.10.05 for its Networking various activities in the field of “Human Resource Training and Capacity Building” during the year 2004-05.

o Best Consultancy Awards-2006. As a Team member, CFTRI - MATA project (Integrated Pilot Scale Fruit Processing unit at Litan, Manipur) has won the certificate of merit from M/s. Consultancy Development Centre (CDC), New Delhi - supported by DSIR for the year 2006.
