o Samar Sarkar – body builder and Roadies participant

Speaking to the media at the event today, Tarun Gill (TG), Founder of TG Connect, said, “There are so many athletes who are doing so much for India, and all they need is appreciation and applaud from the people who they are working this hard for. TG Connect is one such platform for such athletes where the real heroes are these athletes and we recognize their contribution by facilitating them in front of large audience.” Tarun had conceptualized TG Connect in December last year.

Tarun Gill is India’s most powerful fitness influencer with a strong and effective social media presence. He is a creator of successful YouTube fitness channel, with over 300,000 subscribers, which he channelized in driving TG Connect to various Indian cities.

IndiGo has played a critical role in TG Connect’s success across the country, by supporting athletes with the arrangement of their air tickets, which mostly takes up a bulk of their budget for national and international sporting events. IndiGo was one of the first companies to sponsor one of North East’s biggest bodybuilders, Bobby Singh’s yearly airfare for his sports and competition travels in December 2016.

Bhaskarjyoti Das, Managing Director of CHISEL Dighalipukhuri, said, "Both CHISEL and Virat Kohli believe in a common mantra- #NeverStop, be it respecting your body and fitness levels or following a strong sense of discipline and commitment in everything you do. This ideology is something that we have been trying to promote since our launch in August last year. We had also organized various fitness campaigns across Guwahati city to promote the same.” It is worth mentioning that CHISEL Dighalipukhuri is the first franchise of Virat Kohli’s mega fitness brand CHISEL in Guwahati.

He further added, “Associating with TG Connect, we are extending our support in order to make people understand the necessity of a minimum level of fitness in today's urban world. I thank Tarun Gill for giving us the opportunity to be a part of this mega fitness event, and I fully support this movement to recognize those talented athletes of the Northeast whose contribution in the field of fitness often goes unnoticed."
