It's like a dream for a small state of India - Manipur that a Manipuri born Indian Youth Activists Shri Kangujam Kanarjit Singh S/O K. Ibotombi Singh and K. (O) Nungshitombi Devi from the village of Bashikhong Wangkhei Loumanbi Mapal, Imphal East, India has been nominated to receive the Prestigious "Global Youth Icon Award 2015" jointly with Malala Yousafzai , a Pakistani women's education activists and also a Nobel Peace Prize Winner 2014 and Felix Finkbeiner , a 13 years old German Child Activists, who plants million of trees in his native at the age of 9.
The award will be handover on 25th July 2015 at Marg Swarnabhoomi, Chennai during IYONS by His Excellency, the Former President of India, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam in the presence of Shri Kailash Satyarthi, Nobel peace Prize Winner 2014, and also other Eminent and International leaders including UN Officials, writers, educationists, environmentalists, social workers, health specialists, besides a few Chief ministers and union Ministers. The awards carry a Cash, a Shawl and a Plaque.
Kanarjit Kangujam, popularly known as KK Singh, is being nominated amongst three (3) after preliminary screening of nominated 100 Youth Icons by You Think Foundation, India who are most influential in the World in their selfless service and fatherly contribution to global youth community.
The Award is being planned on the line of a United Nation Conference and will be the first to be held in this part of the world engaging the cream of the youth from several countries to discuss debate and evolve globally relevant practice delivering peace and tolerances, mutual love between people, institutions and nations.
Global Leaders of tomorrow are self-empowered and less privileged of many opportunities, but never think to leave their community; rather sacredly committed to improve in their societies they suffer scores of negative challenges. He recycle every negativity into shared hopes and responsibilities for a better world he see and help others to see by their own. He is one of those visionaries and missionaries of today.
This social work graduate was born in 1991. Primarily he stepped forward as a trained Graduate teacher of Physical Education and Sports at HRD Academy, Ghari, India.
He is the first Indian donating blood 25 times before 25 years of age. He also started mainstreaming blood donation globally to participate youths to change into healthy life styles. Besides, he is truly affiliated with administrations, social researchers, and citizen activism. He travelled across the globa and experienced the contemporary youth scenario on his own, which successfully transformed him into an abolitionists, global feminists and rights activists.
He was also already awarded some rare recognition, which many of global youth leaders barely possess. In 2013, he received prestigious 'Dr. Ambedkar National Award'. His Excellency, the then Governor of Manipur, VK Duggal, awarded, 'Global Youth Appreciation Award 2014'; following the consecutive receiving of 'Health Minister's Shield Award' in 2013 and 2014. Besides, Indo – Nepal Dalit Friendship Organization awarded with 'Indo – Nepal Friendship International Award 2013' in Kathmandu.
KK Singh, the founder of Club25 International Manipur, specially loved to talk young peoples to escape from violence and drugs, receive an education and find work. He is working to provide education, freedom and opportunities they deserve. He is playing an important role in creating a sustainable employment opportunities for the young people of the global world through World Fund for Youth. He is standing up for the rights of those who suffer discrimination based on gender, race and sexual orientation. They are confronting sensitive issues – talking to their peers and working to stop the spreading of HIV/AIDS. And they are leading the change to adopt a green mode of development.
His hope is to provide education, employment and empowerment to young people for global progress. Moreover, he organized 'Global Youth Meets 2014' & 'World Youth Summit 2015' by bringing hundreds of young leaders from across the globe at Imphal, his native, to solve and to discuss various global issues and problems. It was also first time in the history of India.
He involves in various social issues to stop human trafficking, to promote rural education , to create awareness on disaster management, to stop drug addiction and the spreading of HIV/AIDS.
He initiated for the first time in the world the event of ' GLOBAL CAMPAIGN FOR RESCUE, RELIEF & REHABILITATION FOR THE VICTIMS OF NEPAL MASSIVE EARTHQUAKE' from Manipur, India, just after the day of 25th April Nepal deadly earthquake of magnitude 7.9 globally to extent humanitarian efforts, love and helping to rebuild Nepal once again. After this, hundreds of countries have started extending helps for rescue, relief, etc.
