MaolKeki Foundation Robert Memorial Internship Awarded
MaolKeki Foundation (MKF) has awarded the third MKF Robert Memorial Internship to Mr. Yaiphaba Ngathem, a Master of Computer Application student at the National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology (NIELIT), Imphal, Manipur. The annual internship program was launched in 2021 in memory of Mr. Robert Singh Khwairakpam who passed away from post-Covid complications.
Robert supported the MaolKeki Foundation on various data analysis and Management Information Systems work until he was recruited full time by Syngenta Foundation India early in 2021. The internship is being implemented in partnership with Lamzing Technologies Private Limited which is a diversified IT development company based in Manipur and Hyderabad.
Mrs. Deepamala Devi Tongbram, Robert's widow, gave the certificate to Yaiphaba who completed his BSc (Honours) Physics from Kha-Manipur College, Manipur. He is currently exploring the potential of emerging computer technologies with a keen interest in the transformative potential of Machine Learning. Yaiphaba also received a cash reward from Smt. Gurumayum Bidyakumari Devi, a Trustee of MaolKeki Foundation.
Also present during the simple award ceremony today were Mr. Ailan Maibam, Director of Lamzing, Ms. Devika Khwairakpam, Robert’s sister, as well as Ms. Nirupa Sanjenbam, Ms. Memory Chirom, and Mr. Sanjit Yumnam from the MaolKeki Foundation.
