Throughout these 15 days, around 350 Para Legal Volunteers and other legal services functionaries will attempt to cover all the 2580 villages of Manipur to give awareness of the rights and entitlements, to identify all such beneficiaries and provide legal aid and assistance wherever required.
Hon’ble Mr. Justice Kh. Nobin Singh, Exectuive Chairman, MASLSA have also emphasized the need to reach out to every such person, instead of waiting for them to come to the legal services institutions.
A modest target to identify a minimum of 3,30,000 vulnerable beneficiaries is set; and each Para Legal Volunteer or Legal Aid Clinic is expected to identify more than 6000 beneficiaries during this period.
Various other forms of creating mass legal awareness will also be used- including audio-visual means, mobile vans and cycling teams. All the district administration officials will also be rendering active co-operation and assistance during these 15 days.
As a follow up, special micro legal services camps will also be organized all over Manipur, to ensure every right of all such identified marginalized persons is actually realized.
