Camp: New Delhi | 4 March 2013

No: 28/BJP-MP/PR&PM/2012:

A team of State leaders of BJP, Manipur Pradesh - Prof. Gangmumei Kamei, Co-Chairman, State Core Committee, Smt. S. Sheityabhama Devi, State Vice President and Shri M. Asnikumar Singh, State General Secretary (Adm/Pub. & Propaganda) led by Shri Th. Chaoba Singh, State President, BJP, Manipur Pradesh met with Shri Ramlaljee, National Gen. Secretary (Orgn), Shri Venkaiah Naidujee (Former President, BJP), Shri Nitin Gadkarijee ( Former President, BJP), Smt. Sushma Swaraj jee, Leader of Opposition (LS) in the evening of yesterday.

The team discussed with the National leaders about the drug haul, the deteriorated status of National Highways, pursuance of the Ministry concerned to overhaul the National Highways and also of extending the 6-Lane Highways upto Moreh town under National Highway Development Project, Loktak Phumdi clearance scam, failure of PDS, violation of National Guidelines in regard of Right to Education Act. The State President had closed door meetings with them to detail further course of actions to be taken up by the National leaders.

The team has met with Shri Prakash Javadekarjee, National Spokesperson, BJP, Smt. Bijoya Chakravortyjee, National Vice President, BJP and Shri Rajnath Singhjee, National President, BJP this morning, and the above issues have been highlighted.

The team was assured that an MP of BJP will raise the matter of drug scandals in the ongoing Lok Sabha. It is a dismay to the National leaders why a single MP from the State or any others Congress MP has not taken up any of the burning issues in both the Houses.

The National leaders further assured that they will have a collective response to all the issues and from the month of April onwards, the National leaders will be coming to the State off and on. There may be advent of Shri Rajnathjee, Shri Nitin Gadkarijee and Shri Venkaiah Naidujee in the State as the first team of the National leaders to address the issues and to give assurance to the people of the State about various corrective measures likely to be posted by BJP National leadership.
