9 rescued from human traffickers in Manipur
Nagaland Post | Imphal, March 29:
Eight boys and a teenage girl were rescued from traffickers by anti-human trafficking unit of Manipur police in separate operations at Imphal Airport, an official source said Wednesday.
The eight boys are suspected to be from Myanmar while the 16-year-old girl is from Manipur’s Churachandpur district. They were rescued from the Imphal airport while they were about to take flights to different destinations outside the state with fake documents.
The Anti-human trafficking cell of the state police intercepted the eight boys at the airport on March 27 while trying to take a flight to Chennai via Kolkata without proper documents.
