Manipur gears up for Santosh Trophy

The Manipur team began its preparation for the upcoming 66th National Football Championship for Santosh Trophy at Khuman Lampak main stadium today.
AMFA president A. Santoshkumar Singh appealed to the players to maintain discipline and unity so that they can lift the title again.
He also said a brave approach is needed to contain and fight other teams in the competition. As the level of competition has shot up, there cannot be any lapse on their part. “So give your best and bring a smile to the football loving people of the state.”
Manipur will feature from the quarter-finals by virtue of being the runners up in the last edition. The 66th National Football Championship for Santosh Trophy will be held at Odisha from May 11-27.
