Lyrics of "With The North East Wind"
You can be a son, you can be a daughter of this land.
It doesn’t matter what you do, doesn’t matter what you’ve become.
Some move far to foreign lands, searching jobs till they settle down somewhere.
Engineers and doctors came and went away to shine in the west.
And if you ever listen to my song, ever long for coming home, sing with me…
CHORUS: And here I come…the smell of north east wind is in the air….
Smell of mama’s sweat is in the air now…I am coming home…
And here I come…. (the) chilly wind is carrying me home now..
The hills and valleys welcome me to the days gone by…I am coming home…back again.
My heart, younger than the hills. Younger than the dusty roads of my town.
I hear old songs on the radio, reminds me of the times I’ve lost.
I see visions of the days when I saw you for the first time.
(It) was love in our first, (but) like a fool I left you alone…
And if you ever listen to my song..
Ever long to come back home….sing with me….
Back again x 3
