Imphal, June 04 2009: The Centre for Organisation Research and Education (CORE) condemned the killing of non-local grocery shopkeeper, Havinder Yadev (50) of Supara district, Bihar by unidentified gunmen at his shop located at Khurai Lamlong, Ayangpalli Road, Imphal yesterday.

CORE programme coordinator Namdithiu Pamei in a statement cited atrocities perpetrated at different places like hurling of bomb by miscreants at the residence of Elangbam Rajni, pradhan of Hiyanglam GP, and assault of father-son duo at Mao Gate, Senapati district.

It also appealed the state government to take special measures regarding the killing of non local residents while also calling all concerned not to place bombs at any residence of peace loving citizens.

The CORE also demanded the state government to advise Para-military forces to maintain peace and tranquility.
