Imphal, April 25 2009: The Zeliangrong Students' Union, Barak Valley has strongly condemned the reported ethnic cleansing campaign launched by DHD (Jewel faction) under its commander in chief Niranjan Hojai against the Zeliangrong people in North Cachar Hills, Assam, reports our Jiribam correspondent.

Calling upon all Zeliangrong people to join hands in countering the situation, the student body also sought assistance from every citizen of the land for the displaced Zeliangrong people.

It further urged upon the administration of NC Hills to beef up security measures to protect people there.
