Imphal, November 16 2008: A former leader of the AMSU was shot and injured by some unidentified gunmen at about 8.30 am today.

Lairenlakpam Tejmani (37) s/o late Kullachandra of Nagamapal Kangjabi Leirak, Meinam Leikai was called out from his home by the unidentified persons before he was shot at Lalambung Makhong, Ningthoujam Leikai.

A bullet which hit Tejmani in the right thigh exited through.

He has been admitted in RIMS.
