Imphal, November 12 2008: The identity of the suspected KYKL cadre shot dead by a combined team of 32 AR and 23 AR troops during a reported encounter at New Keithelmanbi under Patsoi police station last night has been established.

He was Sougaijam Santosh alias Rishi (33) s/o late Joykumar of Moirangkhom Sougaijam Leirak.

According to family members, Santosh was a cadre of KYKL earlier but he had retired from the outfit sometime back.
