Imphal, August 06 2010: Suspected blockade supporters pelted stones on the loaded trucks heading Imphal from Mao gate, caused damage to around 25, a report said.

Reports said the trucks were among around 195 trucks loaded trucks that proceeded Imphal with security escort by Central Security Forces.

Blockade supporters pelted the stones throughout the road while crossing Senapati district.

Among other, the truck proceeded Imphal on NH-39 included 28 oil tankers, eight bullet tankers, 23 loaded with cement, 10 with iron bar and other grocery items.

On the other hand, a notification issued by deputy home secretary, Th Amalkumar today said that empty freight trucks on NH-39 will be leaving Imphal with escort at 8 am of tomorrow.

The escort will be done from Mantripukhri.
