Imphal, March 20 2009: In protest against the firing attack at the chemist shop located attack with the residential building of one Wangjam Kebi (42) of Khekman Oinam Leikai on he night of March 17, a Wakat Meepham was staged by the local people at Khekman Oinam Leikai Bazar today.

Organised under the aegis of Khekman Apunba Meira Paibi Lup, the Wakat Meepham decried such firing attacks in public places and while calling for peace urged all concerned to ensure that such incidents is not repeated.

The protest demonstration was staged from 9 am to 4 pm.
