Imphal, November 12 2008: The death toll in the bomb blast that took place near the gate of Ragailong village on the night of October 21 has risen to 18 following the death of one more injured person who had been undergoing treatment at Shija Hospital, Langol today.

The latest victim has been identified as Md Shahid Ali (28) of Keirao Makting Mayai Leikai but who was staying at the MCT Commando Complex at near Ragailong.

While reiterating its condemnation over the blast as an act of terrorism, the JAC formed in protest against the incident has also condoled the death of the latest victim.

The JAC has also appealed to the Govt for extending ex-gratia to the bereaved families.
