Imphal, July 12 2009: Denouncing the grenade attack at the Wangkhei Laishram Leikai residence of PWD Assistant Engineer Akham Narendradhaja yesterday afternoon, local people staged a protest demonstration today.

The protest sitting was jointly organised by Cosmo and the local Meira Paibis.

The protesters used placards and festoons which read as "We condemn intimidation with bomb attacks", "Stop firing and bomb attacks in civilian populated area", "We want peace", "Do not terrorise innocent people" etc.
