Imphal, March 10: In two different incients two persons have been shot by undidentified persons.

In the first case, one Laishram Sarat (52) of Wangjing Bazar was shot with a bullet in the left thigh by some unidentified persons at Chothe village under Thoubal district at about 6 last morning.

The victim is undergoing treatment at Shija Hospital and Research Institute.

Sarat is a toll tax collector at Lilong.

On the other hand, a rickshaw puller identified as Chongtham Birkumar (40) of Waikhong Awang Leikai was shot at by some unidentified persons at Sagolband Ingudam Leirak at about 5.45 pm today.

He is undergoing treatment at RIMS.

Birkumar is staying in a rented room at Tera Loukrakpam Leikai.

A bullet which hit him in the mouth exited through the left cheek, informed police sources.
