Imphal, September 04: In protest of the bomb attack launched by proscribed PREPAK at the official residence of Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh on the night of September 1, Wakat Meephams were organised by the people at the two Assembly Constituencies of the Chief Minister today.

At Thoubal Bazar, the protest demonstration was attended by a large number of people decrying not only the bomb attack at the official residence of the Chief Minister but also similar attacks on Ministers, MLAs, Government employees, schools and colleges.

Placards inscribed with slogans like 'We support the historic achievement of CM', 'Differences should be sorted out through dialogue', and �We want development and peace' etc were used during the demonstration.

At Khangabok, the protest demonstration was held under the aegis of Village Development Committee.

The Committee appealed to all concerned to ensure such violent incident di not recur in the future.
