Imphal, July 02 2009: Sit in protests were held at various places to protest the failure of the government to materialise the agreement that has been reached with the JAC formed against the killing of three youths of Heirok in March last year.

The JAC secretary, L Manihar has said that the protests were held to protest against the failure of the government in materialising the agreement reached with the JAC.

The government failed to compensate the victims even though authority has assured several times.

"We have consulted with local MLA regarding the matter several times but all ended without any fruitful results," Manihar said.
