Imphal, January 30 2010: One nonlocal individual was found hung to dead from a tree atop Meitei Langol hills under Lamphel police station in Imphal West district this morning.

One Naorem Sakhi (70) found the man hung to dead as she went to collect firewood 400 metres above her house in Langol hills, said a police source.

The man was found hanging by a comforter.

He was wearing a blue-black trouser and a khaki jersey.

The body has started decomposing.

It is suspected that the man died about a week back.

The identity of the deceased cannot be established.

Lamphel police have taken down the corpse and deposited at RIMS mortuary.
