Imphal, February 24: Units of the UPF conglomerate KLO/KLA has strongly condemned the slaying of KRA's PRO Haopao Chongloi and four students on February 22 at Thangal Surung Tera makhong.

Interacting with mediapersons at a Sadar Hills location today, army chief of the KLO/KLA Timothy described the slaying as an act of cowardice and against all acceptable norms.

Affirming that KLO/KLA cannot accept or recognise existence of a separate entity called KLA, Timothy said the gruesome act was the handiwork of 6/7 individuals who fled with arms after killing (late) army chief of the KLO/KLA Lenin Kuki alias Letkholun.

Disclosing that the KLO/KLA deserters are currently enjoying protection of the KNO, he also questioned under what revolutionary principle or goal was the massacre of the students carried out.
