Imphal, July 19: Contending that certain individuals with vested interest have been instigating the people to work against the age old relationships amongst various communities, UCM expressed that only unity among the people can foil such sinister designs.

Applauding the general public for exercising maximum restraint despite the situation arising out of the economic blockade assuming intolerable proportion, UCM hailed the maturity shown by the people and asserted that such attitude has the potential to defeat any destructive force intending to divide the people on communal line.

Informing volunteers of its units to stay alert and to be aware of divisive policies floated by vested interests, UCM appealed to every section of the society to strive for preservation of cordial relationship rather than fall into the trap laid by propagators of divide and rule policy.
