Imphal, September 14: The identity of one of the UG suspects, out of two, shot dead by a combined force of Imphal West District Police Commandos and 16 Assam Rifles during a encounter near Singda Dam on the night of September 12 has been established as 22-year old Laishram Sunil s/o Gopal of Ngaikhong Khullen Mayai Leikai under Bishnupur district but staying at Heirok Devi Mandop Leikai.

According to family members, Sunil was putting up at a relative's place at Langol for the past few days in connection with treatment of his Kidney problem at RIMS.

On the other hand, the body of Maisnam Ranjit alias Nanao alias Thabung (21) s/o Romesh of Babukhan, Jiribam who was among the five cadres of the PREPAK Cobra Task Force who were killed by a combined force during the September 9 operation at Ngakrapat of Loktak lake has been cremated by the family members after post-mortem at RIMS at the crematorium ground of Hatta here today.
