Imphal, June 14: In a reported shoot-out with a combined force of Imphal East commandos and troops of 32 Assam Rifles, one UG suspect was killed near Khongman Bashikhong PHC under Irilbung police station at about 4 am today.

According to police sources, one 9 mm pistol along with three live rounds was recovered from the slain individual.

Three empty case were also recovered from the encounter site.

The corpse of the slain individual has been picked up by Irilbung police and deposited at RIMS mortuary for identification.

The encounter ensued when the combined force acting on a specific tip off moved to Khongman area for an operation, added the source.
