Cabinet to make proceedings known

Imphal, May 07 2010: The state Cabinet today decided to furnish details of the proceedings of the Cabinet meeting held earlier that resolved not to allow Muivah to enter the state along with the ground reasons behind the decision.

Today's Cabinet meeting which started at 8.30 am, while reaffirming the decision taken on April 30 last with regard to ban of entry of Muivah in the state, resolved to furnish the Cabinet proceedings starting from April 30 till date along with the prevailing tense situation in the state.

The meeting also resolved to urge the Union Home Ministry to review its decision allowing Muivah to visit the state, sources said.

The cabinet meeting also discussed the political situation arising out of resignations tendered by six MLAs of hill constituencies.

After thorough discussion on the matter, the Cabient decided not to consider the matter seriously for the time being as the resignation paper was furnished as fax message apart from being a join one and is not a valid one.

The resignation paper if one wishes to tender, it should be an original one signed by himself, the source said.
