Imphal, December 19 2009: Women of Chingmeirong Kabui Khul today staged sit-in protest to register a strong protest against the killing of two non-local labourers by some unknowns on December 16 night.

The Chingmeirong Women Society organised the sit-in protest.

Womenfolk participating in it expressed shock over the killing of two non-locals at the bed where they were sleeping together.

They also appealed to all concerns not to repeat such incident to the locality in future.

The incident has disturbed the peace and tranquility of the locality, the lamented.
