Imphal, April 15 2009: Suspected undergrounds shot dead a youth at the verandah of his own house while a youth sustained injury in a shoot out by the security force in two separate gun violent incidents occurred yesterday at different part of the state.

The shooting to dead of a youth took place last night at around 7.30 pm at Pukhao Laipham under Lalmai police station in Imphal east district while the other incident which a youth sustained injury in firing by a team of combined force occurred yesterday morning at around 7.50 am at Mayang Imphal in Imphal west.

Two gunmen shot dead the youth identified as Chanamthabam Jayenta (29) son of Dilipkumar of Pukhao Laipham who according to family source was a former bus driver.
