Imphal, February 06: One day awareness programme on artificial insemination and bird flu was jointly organised yesterday by Directorate of Veterinary & Animal Husbandry and Chingmei Chandapur Keibul at Chingmei Keina Bazar Keibul Lamjao.

As a part of the programme, blood samples of domestic fowls and carcasses of wild fowls were collected to examine if they are infected by bird flu (Avian influenza), said a release issued by joint director district vety office Bishnupur, L Lokendro.
