Imphal, March 18: One person, who was shot dead by unidentified gunmen at Sekmaijin Khunou Konuma - 15 kilometre south west of Kakching police station, has been identified as Jamlet Lungdim (33) of Moreh Ward No..1According to sources, Jamlet was staying at the Kakching Paji Leirak residence of his wife Naorem Priyanandani and was whisked away by about 7-8 armed persons.

The victim suffered bullet wounds at the back and to the left ear.

The body has been handed over family members on completion of post mortem at Lilong Primary Health Centre (PHC) today. On the otherhand, family members refuse to claim the body of one Salam Brojen (30) s/o Chaoba of Laphupat Tera Mayai Leikai.

Brojen's corpse was recovered last evening from Sekmajin Mamang Leikai with a fatal bullet wound detected penetrating out of the back of the head.

Post mortem was conducted upon the body at the Lilong PHC today.
