Imphal, May 15 2010: In continuation of their drive to check transportation of food items from Imphal to other places, women vendors of Khwairamband Keithel unloaded and held back a cargo of goods including food items loaded on a bus bound for Chandel at Thoubal parking here today.

Worried over the depleting stocks of essential commodities including food stuff due to the prolonged economic blockade, women vendors of Khwairamband market launched the drive of preventing transportation of food items away from Imphal to other place until the blockade is lifted.

The goods unloaded from the bus have been stored at Khwairamband Keithel.
