Imphal, June 28 2009: A bomb hurled by suspected underground elements went off at the resident of director of state fisheries department, Kayam Sharatkumar at Loklaobung under Singjamei police station tonight at around 9 pm.

No human casualty occurred in the explosion but the impact of the blast caused damage to a jeep, a car and one gypsy parked at the front courtyard.

The director, Sharatkumar said, the bomb attack might have related with monetary demand served by undergrounds from the department.
