Imphal, September 22 2009: Decrying the firing of three rounds at the gate of the house of L Houjakup at New Lambulane, locals of the area today staged a sit-in protest.

Miscreants opened fire on the night of September 17 at about 9 pm.

The protest was organized by the Nisha Bandh Women Society, New Lambulane.

In the protest placards written with slogans like "We want to live in peace, stop gun culture, don't panic people by firing guns and exploding bombs in the populated area," etc.
