Moreh, October 18 2009: Meetei Council Moreh (MCM) and Kha-Nongpok Apunba Nupee Lup, Moreh have strongly condemned the incident of opening gunfire and explosion of bombs around midnight of October 17 at various places in the border town of Moreh.

A separate statements issued by the general secretary of MCM, N Inaocha Meitei and general secretary of KNANLM, N Leima observed that the gunfire and explosion could have caused casualty had the act was perpetrated at public places or residential areas.

The incidents caused apprehension among residents of Moreh and it also affected the business transaction, the statements noted while appealing all concerned to restrain from causing such incidents in future.
