Imphal, November 29 2009: The outlawed People's Revolutionary Party of Kangleipak (PREPAK) has refuted the claim of the police that a UG was killed in an encounter with combined team of Imphal East commandos and 32 AR on November 18 .

A statement issued by the Imphal East district commander of PREPAK, L Sunil Meitei asserted that Ngairambam Amit alias Rose (20) son of (L) N Birbal of Kyamgei Khoirom Leikai, who was killed in the claimed encounter, was apprehended from Uyungpok Terapur the same day around 3am.He was held along with two AK-47 rifles, two extra magazines and 200 live rounds.

Remembering him as a dedicated 'comrade,' the outfit offered revolutionary salute to the demised 'comrade.' It also shared the grief of the bereaved family members.
