Imphal, July 15 2010: Endorsing the stand of the transporters not to use National Highway 39, a public meeting held at Khurai Lamlong Bazar today has resolved that all the clubs, organisations and Meira Paibis of the area would extend every possible assistance for the development of National Highway 53 as an alternative lifeline of the people.

Organised under the aegis of Union of Social Upliftment, Khurai, the meeting also adopted some other resolutions.

These include ensuring supply of essential commodities to the people at reasonable price by the Government and putting up the price list of the goods being sold by the shopkeepers and dealers in Lamlong Bazar area within five days.
