Imphal, November 10 2009: Residents of Chingamakha Irom Leirak have staged a sit-in-protest today against the opening of gunshots at the residence of one Haobam Indeshore of the locality by unidentified gunmen on November 8 around 6.30pm.The sit-in-protest held today at the premises of Chingamakha Model Club was attended by members of the local meira paibees and clubs.

Protesters said Haobam Indeshore is a simple man living a plain life.

He is also a committed social worker of the locality.

He is the vice-president of Chingamakha Model Club and an important member of Leimayol Arts Centre.

The protestors have also demanded clarification on the matter at the earliest.
