Imphal, September 28: Identity of the individual shot dead and found abandoned at Urup Palli under Irilbung police station of Imphal East district late last night has been established as one Pukhrambam Tomba (25) s/o (L) P Irabot of Urup Mayai Leikai.

A former PREPAK member, Tomba was reportedly shot dead after being whisked away from the home by two unidentified persons yesterday itself.

The corpse was recovered this morning by a police team.

After completion of post mortem at RIMS morgue today the body has been claimed by family members.
